Adult Basic Education (ABE/GED Classes)

Adult Basic Education classes are for adults age 16 and over who may not have a high school diploma, who are not in school, who need basic reading, math and writing skills and are interested in improving everyday living skills.

Computer Classes

The Hendricks College Network will be the provider of Computer Classes held at the Plainfield-Guilford Twp. Public Library beginning in January 2006. Contact HCN for more information or to register at www.hendrickscollegenetwork.org or by calling (317) 745-9265.

GED Online Resources

  • 4Tests: Offers free GED test questions.
  • GED on TV: A test prep site. Enrollment costs $45 and includes pre test, workbooks, calculator, post test and a voucher that pays the $60 to take the GED.
  • GED practice questions: "A free service provided by Steck-Vaughn to familiarize you with the types of items you will see on the actual GED test."
  • GED Connection Online Lessons: A PBS LiteracyLink resource that offers a free online pretest. Also, the library carries the 39 videos offered.
  • GED Testing Service: The official website of GED testing.
  • Test Prep Review: Another free test site.
