The Indiana Room at the Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library is a Family Search Affiliate. FamilySearch is the world’s largest repository of genealogical records and manages the world renowned Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. FamilySearch is extending access to its collections by circulating microfilms of the historic records through select public libraries. Microfilm owned by the Family History Library may be ordered for a nominal fee and may be viewed on the library’s microfilm reader whenever the Indiana Room is open. If you are interested in ordering and borrowing any of their over 2 million reels of microfilmed records, you are now able to select P-GTPL as the destination for your microfilm. When your film arrives, we'll let you know and you may use the readers at this library for viewing and copying. We'll return the films for you when your borrowing time is finished.Stop by the Indiana Room to learn more about this exciting new partnership.
To order films from the FHL, consult the Family Search website.
