Eyewitness to History June 28, 3:30pm
Frank Marion Walker
Join us as Frank Marion Walker, one of the last living survivors of the battle of Iwo Jima during World War II, gives a stunning presentation about his experiences as a Marine. Learn of the flag raising on Mt. Suribachi and the Battle of Iwo Jima, icons in United States history. It is a story not for the faint of heart, having been the bloodiest battle on such a tiny island in Japan.
