2021 Adult Reading Challenge

2021 Adult Reading Challenge

We’re doing a gift card giveaway for adults who are working on the 2021 Reading Challenge!

Participate to Win

Join the 2021 Adult Reading Challenge and work on your reading goals to be eligible to win during the month of April. There are two ways to enter:

  1. If you are using a printed log to track your reading, bring it to the main circulation desk at the library. A staff member will check for progress on the challenge, then register you for the giveaway.
  2. You can also enter through Beanstack! Beanstack is an online way to participate in all kinds of library challenges and track your reading time. To sign up, follow the link and create an account. Register for the 2021 Adult Reading Challenge and start logging what you’ve read, and you’ll be entered in the giveaway!

Entries for the first giveaway will be collected from April 1-30, and two winners will be drawn on May 2. Each winner will receive a $10 iTunes gift card. There will be more check-ins throughout the year, so stay tuned and keep reading!

2021 Adult Reading Challenge

Have you ever found yourself reading the same type of book over and over again? Do you tend to read the same genre or author? If so, join our 2021 Reading Challenge today! We’ve put together a list of 18 prompts to push you out of your reading habits and help you find new books you may not have read otherwise. If you’re up to it, we also included six bonus prompts for an extra challenge.

The reading challenge rules are:

  • You can join the challenge at any time during the year
  • Any book you read in 2021 counts
  • Each book can count toward one prompt, and one prompt only
  • eBooks and Audiobooks count
  • Prompts can be completed in any order

There are two ways to participate:

Log your books on paper: Ask for a print challenge form at the library’s front desk, or download it here.  Keep track of your reading, and don’t forget to show us your progress when you visit. Once you’ve completed all 18 prompts, bring your filled-out form to the library’s front desk for a swag bag of library goodies! If you have any questions or need recommendations, feel free to contact the library at 317-839-6602. You can also see staff’s favorite picks by using our May We Suggest service!

Most importantly, remember that this challenge is a fun way to branch out and find some new books you wouldn’t read otherwise. Whatever you can accomplish is a success! Happy reading!
