21 Nov Café Let’s Play!
Come have fun in our play kitchen, temporarily set up as a restaurant with a menu and play money!
Try letting your child lead the play. Ask open-ended questions, use rich vocabulary, and take time to have a real mock-restaurant experience together (if you can.) Pick one of the meals or mix and match, pick a cost and pay with the play money, etc.
Time spent in open-ended, imaginative play is wonderful for young children, building many different social/cognitive ‘soft skills.’ There’s plenty of research if you’re interested in learning more about this.
