The Friends of the Plainfield Library (FOL) have updated the offerings in the lobby display case for the January silent auction. To keep you busy during the winter months, there are books on cooking, knitting and quilting, and gardening, both inside and out.
Mystery lovers will enjoy Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Complete Sherlock Holmes, Vol. I and The Complete Sherlock Holmes, Vol. II. These Barnes and Noble Classics revolve around the world’s most popular and influential fictional detective, and offer pages of carefully crafted extras. The Armchair Detective Book of Whodunits contains crime vignettes to challenge your mind. If you want to laugh a little, you might enjoy Peanuts Guide to Life or The Family Circus By Request.
We wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope you will begin it with a visit to the library to see what’s on display this month…and make it a habit to see the new selection every month! Bids can be registered in the notebook on the lobby kiosk. Proceeds will be used to fund library programs that benefit the community.
