Hendricks County Probate Records Sorting Day
You are invited to drop by the library on two Fridays in January 11 and 25, 2019, anytime from 10 am to 4 pm to help work on sorting Hendricks County probate records from the 1800s. We’ll meet upstairs in McMillan A meeting room. The probate records date back to 1824 and are among Hendricks County’s oldest court records. They contain fascinating details about the lives of early settlers, including their bills and correspondence. The Indiana Genealogical Society is preserving these probate records and putting digital copies of them on their website; the records will then be turned over to the Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library for permanent storage in the Library’s Archives.
