29 Aug Indiana Archaeology: Beneath the Surface
Did you know September is Indiana Archaeology Month? Learn more about a southern Indiana archaeological site from professional archaeologist and Plainfield resident, John Flood. In the southeast region of Indiana and Ohio, archaeologist John Flood excavated around a circa 1800 stone house that belonged to a Presbyterian preacher. This presentation will include discussion on significant artifacts/features found at the site, along with a visual 3D model of the complete site. The archival research and material culture of our early settlements provided some fascinating finds, along with a little bit of the Shaker faith, which is involved as well.
