It’s May and it’s time to see what’s new at the Friends of the Plainfield Library Silent Auction! The NY Times best seller Greenlights offers stories and insights from actor Matthew McConaughey. If you want a laugh from the comic strip For Better or For Worse, you might enjoy books with original strips from the series’ early years! Looking for something for Father’s Day? Outdoor cooking, sports, gardening and woodworking books are on display.
In recognition of Memorial Day and to honor all military personnel, there is a DVD set of the award-winning miniseries, Band of Brothers, and books about World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War.
Items are selected from donations and library withdrawals. You are invited to bid on these items and more by visiting the lobby display in May. All proceeds benefit programs at the library. Thank you for your support!
