Join us Wednesday, November 11 from 7-8pm for The Winter Garden: Looking at Structures and Plants in the Winter Garden with Indiana Master Naturalist Colletta Kosiba.
Do you think of the winter landscape as dull and boring? Winter is a dramatic season. Tree structure is now visible; the peeling white bark of the sycamore tree, the tall straight tulip trees and the mighty oak trees with orange brown leaves still clinging to their branches. Grasses and perennial seed heads are nodding in the wind. Learn how adding crab apple trees, holly bushes, or gold evergreen shrubs will create a pleasing scene. Learn how adding hardscape items such as fences, statuary or even outdoor furniture fashion can help create an interesting and picturesque landscape.
