The lush, narrow part of Turkey Run’s Rocky Hollow requires most people to take the slender path up along the rock ledge. The steps, carved long ago, have been worn smooth by countless numbers of people visiting this wonderful spot.Elaine McConnell.

Visit the Library gallery after-hours on Friday, October 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m. for a special opening reception and viewing of the documentary created by the McConnells entitled Discovering Turkey Run. The event is free and open to the public.  Enjoy light refreshments  served in the form of a s’mores bar and chocolate fountain. This fine art photography exhibit on display October 5-31, features images of State and National Parks with a particular emphasis on Turkey Run State Park.

Alan McConnell has exhibited at the Plainfield Public Library in the past and was awarded the Library’s Arts Gala Signature Artist in 2016 for his piece “Tracks in Time.” McConnell currently lives in Delphi, Indiana, where he co-owns, Opera House Gallery of Contemporary Art.
