Educator Resources

PGTPL offers resources and support for teachers, parents, and caregivers!

The Plainfield Library and Youth Services staff are pleased to help you with your teaching and educational needs. Whether you’d like to bring your class for a field trip, are looking for homeschooling resources, or need to borrow additional items for a special project, we are here to help.

Visit the Library

We would love to see your class at the Library! We can offer book talks, tours of the Children’s or Indiana Rooms, group project reference help, demonstrations, and more.

For printable children’s library card applications, click here.

Assignment Alert

Alert the Library of assignments you plan to give your class so that we can be prepared to help your students when they come to us for assistance.

Collection Kit

We have lots of things to help you teach! Notify the Library when you need a themed educator collection for use in your classroom, home school, or day care setting.

Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reading is a school-based program. Many AR books in the Library are labeled. Students read a book at their reading level, then take a test at school. For more information contact your child’s school or teacher.

STEM Learning

We have a great collection of STEM kits and board games for you to check out and take home! Click below to browse our collection, check availability, place a hold or see video demonstrations about how to use these items.

PGTPL offers resources and support for homeschooling families. Take a look at our homeschooling page for ideas and connect with library staff about homeschooling.
