Book Bike and Little Free Libraries

We want books all over town!

Little Free Library

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to find a great book. So, we teamed up with Duke Energy, the Plainfield Parks and Recreation Department, an enterprising Eagle Scout, and others to install over twenty Little Free Libraries all around town. The idea behind a Little Free Library is simple: take a book,  leave a book. Use the map below to find the nearest Little Free Library or click here to learn more about Plainfield’s Little Free Library system. Book Bike

In 2016, we acquired a bike-powered bookmobile, our “Book Bike.” Look for the Book Bike at the Plainfield Farmers’ Market, at various festivals, parks, at the mall, and on the trails!  Would you like Book Bike to come visit your area? Send a note to Matthew! In addition to transporting a surprising amount of books and other materials, the Book Bike functions as a wifi hotspot, allowing us to demonstrate a wide variety of digital resources from the Library. Most of all, we love riding around town!

Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to see where the #Bookbike is headed to next!
