Indianapolis Opera at the Library

Indianapolis Opera Presents: Sing Me a Story

PGTPL is thrilled to welcome the Indianapolis Opera back to the library for a free performance for children!

Join us in the Children’s Room on Saturday, April 13, 1-1:45p, for Perfect as a Pony. This children’s opera features classic opera music and encourages learning to love yourself, standing up to bullies, and accepting others. Anyone is welcome to attend, no registration required!

The benefits of live music

Attending live performances can help children engage with music and understand how it’s created. Music can help improve focus and connect to emotional growth, and live music gives kids an opportunity to interact with the musicians performing it. A children’s opera weaves together themes from a variety of classic operas in a family-friendly, fun performance. In addition, since this program is hosted at the library, it’s a low-stress environment to introduce children to live music.
