July can be a busy month with vacations, 4 th of July festivities, family reunions, county fairs, and getting
kids ready to go back to school. For those who need to take a breather between activities, be sure to
check out the Friends of the Plainfield Library silent auction in the library lobby. The auction features the
children’s book You're All My Favorites, a reassuring story that parents have enough love for all their
children. To commemorate July 4 th , there are books about our country’s history including 1776, David
McCullough’s bestselling account of our nation’s birth.
Along with books in the auction, we have a six-DVD set of Mary Higgins Clark: Mystery Movie Collection
based on her popular books. Indy 500 fans might want to bid on 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500,
a 100-minute commemorative DVD that includes an interview with rookie winner Alexander Rossi and
co-owner Bryan Herta as well as special features and a photo gallery.
Plan a visit to the Plainfield Library to check out these items and more. The auction is made possible
thanks to generous donations from our supporters and library withdrawals. All proceeds go to fund
