The Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library concluded the RFP process for new self-checkout kiosks in early November. The Library received four submissions with three vendors being shortlisted for product demonstrations and interviews with company representatives. After careful consideration by the library’s Evaluation Team, the proposal submitted by Bibliotheca was selected as the proposal that best met the overall needs of the library. This recommendation was presented to the Library Board of Trustees on November 16th and adopted. Vendors were notified via email of the Library’s decision on November 17th.
In the interests of transparency in the public bidding process, all shortlisted vendors were asked to submit redacted proposals by 5:00pm EST on Tuesday, November 22nd for publication on our website. Vendors were permitted to redact sensitive trade and/or company financial information. Quoted pricing information was not permitted to be redacted as these are public bids.
Vendors were notified that proposals would be publicly posted by 5:00pm EST on Wednesday, November 24th.
