Children’s Kick-Off Party

Children birth – 5th grade can sign up, pick up reading logs, enjoy activities, and more!

 

Read and Participate

Track reading time or early literacy activities and attend programs to earn raffle tickets and prizes!

 

Turn in Your Raffle Tickets

Enter your raffle tickets for a chance to win! Winners will be drawn on Monday, July 15.

Lunch Programs

The Quaker Lunch Truck will be serving free lunch for children at the library this summer! Join our lunchtime programs every weekday! 

Dates: Tuesday, May 28 – Wednesday, July 3 and Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12, 11:30-12p

 

Monday: Watch It! Bring your lunch or snacks and enjoy a family-friendly movie at the library! Ask at the Children’s Desk for movie titles and information.

Tuesday: Build it! Test your engineering skills with STEM building challenges! Construct the tallest tower, sturdiest bridge, or most unique structure you can. Materials will vary each week.

Wednesday: Play It! Take a break mid-week and join us for games and activities from the library’s collection! Have fun and make new friends!

Thursday: Make It! LEGO Creations Use our collection of LEGO® bricks to build something awesome from your imagination!

Friday: Craft It! Bring your creativity and complete a simple do-it-yourself craft or coloring activity!

 

Afternoon and Evening Programs

Fantasy Adventure Camp

Tuesday, June 4, 5-6p

Grab your wand and set off for adventure! Learn all the skills you need to complete your quest, with map making, potions, and more.

 

Family Nature Night: Bugs

Wednesday, June 12, 5:30-6:30p

Bugs can be found all over the world and in all kinds of different environments, singing and making noises. Join a Hendricks County Park naturalist for a fun night learning all about bugs!

 

Stuffie Sleepover

Thursday, June 20, 5:30-6p

Bring your favorite stuffie to the library for an overnight adventure! Share a story together, then wish them goodnight as you go home and they stay at the library for after-hours fun.

Drop off stuffies during storytime on Thursday, June 20, 5:30-6p. Then come back to the library anytime 9a-6p on Friday, June 21 to pick up your stuffie and a photo of their fun! 

 

Bluey Party

Monday, June 24, 5-5:30p

Celebrate all things Bluey! Join us for books, activities, and games based on this favorite tv show.

 

Pokémon Party

Tuesday, July 2, 5-6p

Do you love Pokémon? Join fellow fans for crafts, games, and ultimate matchups! We’ll even have a chance to swap cards with other attendees.

 

Around the World Traveler’s Club

Wednesday, July 10, 3-3:30p

Join us as we travel to different countries! Participants can visit activity stations to learn about the world, make their own passport, and more.

 

Spy School

Thursday, July 18, 5-5:30p

Do you have what it takes to be a secret agent? Learn essential skills like how to write in code, make invisible ink, and create your mysterious identity during this highly classified program!

 

Shark Week Challenge 

Tuesday, July 23, 5-6p

Do you have what it takes to survive? Test your skills with shark-themed games and learn more about these ancient creatures!

ICAN Nature Play Days

Saturday, June 1, 2-2:30p

Bring the outside indoors with ICAN Nature Play Days! Join us to make your own art with natural materials, inspired by artists like Andy Goldsworthy and Georgia O’Keefe.

 

Read Like a Hero with Wonder Woman

Adventure begins at your library! Meet Wonder Woman and listen to adventurous stories during this fun superhero meet and greet.
