Film is Back

March – April

The library is proud to present Film Is Back, an art exhibit featuring a diverse group of photographers whose work spans documentary, lifestyle, and photography styles. The exhibit will showcase the artistic visions of local photographers Allyson Avery, Linus Avery, Emelia Nottingham, Brayleigh White and Jaden White.

Film Is Back explores the timeless power of photography to capture moments that words alone cannot express. Each artist brings a unique perspective, reflecting on the human experience and the subtle complexities of life.

Jaden White emphasizes the deeper purpose of art: “Our work is important because it provides a space to reflect thoughts, feelings, and beliefs where words alone are not enough. Art is representative of the deeper aspects of human personality and exists as a universal language for communicating subtle levels of the human condition.”

Film Is Back invites visitors to experience photography as both a visual and emotional medium, celebrating the enduring appeal of film in a digital world and the power of images to connect us across time, space, and experience.

Visit the Gallery on the second floor of the Library between March – April 2026 and experience the beauty of Film is Back in person.

Enjoy the works of local artists in our newly renovated gallery space.

Located on the second floor of the Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library, The Gallery offers visitors a blend of traditional, contemporary, and abstract artwork in both two and three dimensional media.

Gallery exhibits show on a monthly rotation. For more information on exhibiting your work or to be considered as an exhibitor, please submit the form at the bottom of this page.

Art is not about what you see, but what you make others see.
