April Silent Auction

April Silent Auction

It’s April and it’s time to see what’s new in the Friends of the Plainfield Library (FOL) silent auction! How-To books for landscaping, gardening of all types, building garden structures, and attracting butterflies provide ideas and instruction for your green space as we approach warmer days. If you need to take a break from working in the yard and are a fan of the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip, you will enjoy The Days are Just Packed.

For Mother’s Day in May, we have books that might appeal to Mom and Grandmother including Thomas Kinkade’s Grandmother’s Memories: To Her Grandchild (A Journal of Faith and Love). Pulitzer Prize winner Prairie Fires: The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder is a biography of the beloved author (and mother) of the Little House on the Prairie books. Mothers will relate to “There Goes My Baby”!, a For Better or For Worse comic strip collection.

The FOL invites you to stop by the library to see these books and more. Bids can be placed in the notebook on the lobby kiosk. All proceed go to fund PGTPL programs for the community. Thanks for your support!
