• Light cleaning such as dusting, wiping tables, cleaning computer keyboards and computer tables, straightening books, and picking up
• Restocking scratch paper and pencils at OPAC stations and by public computers

• Organize shelves by putting nonfiction materials in Dewey Decimal order or fiction alphabetically
• Accuracy is needed for this job
• Ability to sort materials in alphabetical and/or Dewey Decimal order (will train)
• Ability to bend to floor level and reach overhead

• Maintain orderly and clean range of shelves in an assigned section
• Identify damaged or stained materials and place them in designated area noting the item’s particular issue
• Read spine labels, and reshelve books that are not in proper order
• Shift books as necessary to assure easy access and spacing (will train)
• Remove all bookmarks, paper, and litter from books and shelves

• Clean outside cases of circulating materials periodically or as needed
• Check DVDs/CDs to see which need cleaning. Keeping track of what has been completed
• Check to see if cases need to be changed
• Dusting and cleaning of audiobook, music CD, and DVD shelves
• Shifting materials (will train)

Use the library’s digital cameras to document programs held at the library. These pictures may be used for promotion and social media marketing.

• Assist with regular delivery of materials to patrons that are unable to physically visit the library
• Requires a valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and a good driving record
