September Silent Auction

September is here and that means shorter days and more time to read! The Friends of the Plainfield Library (FOL) may have something that interests you in this month’s silent auction. 

For Winston Churchill followers, the auction features his four-volume series about the history of Britain and its former colonies, emphasizing the development of democracy. There are also three magazines published shortly before Queen Elizabeth’s death in September 2022 focusing on her 70-year reign and the Platinum Jubilee. Closer to home, there are books about the Cubs, American military history, and out-of- way places to visit on your future vacations. The auction also has books for children, and journals and books for grandparents to commemorate Grandparents Day this month.
