Summer vacation will be here before you know it! Here is a list of free or low cost activities for you and your family to enjoy this summer!
Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library Summer Reading Club
(May 26 through July 10)
The PGTPL Summer Reading Club is back and it’s free to participate! See our events page for programs and activities here at the library. The Children’s SRC Kickoff Party is Tuesday, May 26, 4:30-6p!

PGPTL Free Museum Passes
PGPTL has passes to both the Indiana State Museum and the Eiteljorg Museum that you can check out for free admission! These are popular items, so we recommend putting them on hold.
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis free and discounted tickets
The Children’s Museum will be hosting a Juneteenth Jamboree this summer with free admission! Official date to be announced.
The Children’s Museum hosts a $6 first Thursday from 4-8p on the first Thursday of each month.
If you receive State Assistance, your family may qualify for an Access Pass.
Indy with Kids Summer Checklist
Indy with Kids is a great resource for free/low cost event ideas. They even offer a printable Summer Checklist!
Public Park Checklist from Indy’s Child
Visit a new park every week and have your kids decide which one is the best!
Indianapolis Art Museum (Newfields) free admission
The IMA also offers a free admission day on the first Thursday of every month! Learn about art, explore the gardens, and see the Lilly House!
Other great resources for free/low cost activities include Indy’s Child, Kids Out and About Indianapolis, and Indianapolis Moms. These events/ideas will help make summer vacation a blast!
