09 Sep Teens Craft: How to Make Beaded Conch Shells
Conch shells are the homes to sea slugs, but they are also beautiful signifiers of the ocean. Today, we’ll be making cute miniature versions of these shells!
The supplies we’ll be using for this craft are:
- small glass beads in multiple colors
- metal wire
- cutting pliers
For my example, I will be using pink, blue, and white beads.
Instructions:

Step 1: Thread a bead through the wire.
Step 2: Carefully wrap the wire around the bead, until the bead is secure and does not move along the wire.

Step 3: Thread four pink beads onto the wire.
Step 4: Make sure the beads fall all the way through to the first bead.

Step 5: Begin to swirl the wire above the secure bead.
Step 6: Repeat steps 3 and 4, with white beads.

Step 7: Continue to swirl the wire, creating a bigger loop with each circle.
Step 8: Repeat Steps 3-7 with each color, until satisfied with the size of the shell.

Step 9: Use your finger tips to pinch and bend the shape, until satisfied.
And then, you’re finished!
