December is here and the Friends of the Plainfield Library (FOL) has stocked the shelves of the silent auction with books for the New Year ahead!
For those who plan to eat healthier in 2023, the auction offers cookbooks with the words “low-fat”, “low-carb”, “light”, and “healthy” in the titles. There are journals to help you organize your home, document your travel, learn more about your family, and keep track of your thoughts. If your resolution is to spend more quality time with family members, thoughtful questions on Family Talks conversation cards will spark conversation and provide insight into hearts and minds.
Star Wars fans will enjoy Star Wars Scrapbook: The Essential Collection. Stephen Sansweet, a prolific collector, has carefully selected and arranged the best of his collection, authentically reproduced. The leather-bound The National Geographic Society: 100 Years of Adventure & Discovery published in 1987 contains quality articles and breath-taking photographs celebrating the first 100 years of the organization.
Stop by the auction in the lobby when you visit the library to see the December silent auction offerings. Bids can be placed in the notebook on the FOL lobby kiosk with all proceeds going to support library programs.
