Family Book Club Fun

Pick a night of the week for some “book club” fun! Your family book club doesn’t have to look like a traditional book club. Every evening, you can sit down as a family and spend time reading a book together. You can pass the book around and take turns reading aloud or have one designated reader every night, or do whatever works best for your group!

You could choose a classic, like Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time or Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White. You might prefer to try an adventure that’s new to everyone, like Escape from Mr. Limoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein or The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. No matter what books you choose, some great conversations are bound to happen!

You can take a step further by making snacks and decorating according to your book’s theme. As you read, jot down questions that come up or things you might want to investigate with your family later. Books are a fantastic way to start conversations and build communication skills!
