February Silent Auction

February Silent Auction

While you are out “enjoying” the February weather, be sure to stop by the Plainfield Library to see what’s new in the Friends of the Library silent auction.

To commemorate President’s Day, there are biographies on Presidents Lincoln, Eisenhower and Reagan. Also available is the 2001 Pulitzer Prize winner Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation, a book about those who were instrumental in shaping our country including Presidents Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Madison.

Pre- and early teens might enjoy The Kane Chronicles, a three-book set based on Egyptian mythology, or The Ledgerbook of Thomas Blue Eagle, a historical fiction account of a young nineteenth century Sioux warrior’s quest for knowledge with illustrations in the style of the Plains Indians. Adults might enjoy it too!

In addition to these, there are books on successful women, Buffalo Bill and General Custer, and more. Hope you will find something that you must have!
