Did Grandpa Work in the Tree Army? Research in the Civilian Conservation Corps
We are very happy to welcome back Ron Darrah, who will speak to our group on what types of records are available for people who worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt established the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933. The CCC allowed single men between the ages of 18 and 25 to join work programs designed to improve America’s public lands, forests, and parks. The CCC was a part of the New Deal Program and aimed to help lift the United States out of the Great Depression.
