With summer starting in June, you may want to check out what’s new in the Friends of the Plainfield Library silent auction so you have a book to relax with during the dog days of summer that follow. There are books on subjects ranging from perennials to quilting to golf and even dogs for kids!
If you want to add to your Calvin and Hobbes collection, we have There’s Treasure Everywhere with the twosome looking for treasure in the most unlikely places. For more laughs, you might like the For Better or For Worse Collections With This Ring and Striking a Cord, comic strips about the ups and downs of family life. On a more serious note, The Can’t Sleep Coloring Journal (and 24 colored pencils) will help focus your thoughts and calm your mind if you need to get to sleep but the skies are still light.
These books and more are available because of generous donations and will be in the lobby case through June. You can place your bids in the notebook on the library kiosk and will be called if you are the high bidder. Thank you for your support and enjoy the summer season!
