12 Jan Winter Sensory Tray
Enjoy a wintery twist on a classic sensory bin!
Materials
- a tray, preferably white
- white glitter
- white table salt
Optional: a stick, pencil, or other writing tool
Directions
Mix the salt and glitter and sprinkle on the tray, covering it completely. Encourage your child to write or draw in the mixture, and then smooth it out to reset!
Early Literacy Tip
This activity stimulates the child’s imagination and encourages their growth with a hands-on experience. It can also help develop pre-writing skills, and allows elementary age children a chance to practice writing in a fun and nurturing environment.
